It was Day 3 and I was very eager to talk to her. I couldn't sleep well previous night as all night I was dreaming about the next day situation. I got up early in the morning got freshed up quickly and went out of room to just catch some glimpse of that pretty nurse. I looked around it was still dark outside and dead silent. I went around the corridor to see if someone is available but couldn't find even a single bird twittering. When I checked my watch it just 5:30 AM in the morning. Even for my exams I never got up so early.
Finally the time came, I saw her at far distant talking to another friend of her. I was getting jittery feeling from inside. I was feeling better and stronger (PS: I had gone very weak due to Typhoid and lost nearly 7 Kgs). She came to my room with all her favourite instruments for routine check up. After all the check up she looked at me and asked "How are you feeling now?"
"Better"
"Did you take all the tablets?"
"Hmmm... I'm not sure. I guess.. Yes"
"Actually I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have spoken to you so rudely" she said
"So what are you doing?"
"I'm a Software engineer working for Accenture" I thought Accenture has brand value and this will help me in getting closer to her.
"Hmmm.. Accenture.. I never heard it... Is it an Indian company?" That was knock out question. I had no answer for it.
"So where are you from?" she asked.
"I'm Tamilian.. Basically my parents are from TN. I was born and brought up in Northern part of India"
To be very frank I'm not sure to which state I belong to. I was born in Calcutta, West Bengal and then explored different places like Udhampur(J&K), Nagpur(Mah), Ahmadabad(Guj) and finally Bangalore(Kar). I had been to all the zones of our country. Its only because my parents are from Tamilnadu I call my self as Tamilian otherwise I don't see I have any link with TN. I think I can call myself as Non Resident Tamilian(NRT) similar to NRI.
It was 45 mins since she walked into my room and our conversation was no way near ending. We touched all the topics in this world except the funny ones. It was a red letter day for me because no girl had spoken to me for such a long time. It was like a American(Kartik) partying with Taliban(Nurse). It was like Arabs and Jews share same backyard. The world that day was totally upside down. I was going bonkers. She left my room nearly after 50 mins as she had some other duties. I started liking her, I was comfortable with her and even she was. Things were looking bright there after.
In evening she walked into my room, but there was a surprise. A lady doctor was accompanying her and to my surprise she was better than the nurse. She was damn beautiful, hot and very sophisticated. Her style was unique. It was like hot gulabjamoon with ice cream moment. I couldn't have asked for better than this. I was just thanking my stars for showing one of the beautiful girl in this world. I was already along side mountains and river singing and dancing with the lady doctor(full bollywood style with A R Rahman music in background). The nurse did notice the excitment I had after seeing doctor. You know girls get very jealous in such situations and act weirdly as it happened in my case also. She was staring on me as lady doctor was going through my report.
After reading the report, the lady doctor confirmed that I fit to be discharged and all my dreams shattered in a minute. I wanted to stay for some more days and they did not want me to. However my health insurance came in for my rescue as they came to know that I have an insurance, they extended my stay by another one day and also increased my medicines. These doctors know very well how to mint money from patients and that too if patient has an insurance cover, you just dont need to ask them. But at that moment I was dreaming about another day.
Next day was not as beauitful as i dreamt since both doctor and nurse did not turn upto hospital. Things have changed since I have graduated. My friends are having girl friends now. They are planning their marriages. Like one my friend Mr.N who met Ms. A in his office and since then he is NA. On the whole, my stay in hospital was good.

My stay in hospital - Part 1
Hi Friends.. I'm writing my second blog nearly after 3 months and in these past 3 months lot of things have happened in my life which could shape my future in some ways.. Number 3 seems to be very important for me.. Lot of things happening around me and are related to number 3... Coming back to topic, its been 3 months since I have recovered from Typhoid. I'm feeling better and good. The 4 days stay in hospital was horrible but one thing which kept me going was NURSES. They were amazing, friendly, good looking and appreciation goes on. I hate injections but if it is beautiful ladies then all the pain is overpowered by the heart beat rate and numbness. The doctor was 70+ but who is bothered about him, I was most interested on nurses around him.
It was Day 2 in hospital and nurse in hospital had soft corner for me because no one from my family was in hospital in day time to look after me (Reason: Mom can't walk stairs and Dad had no leave). But I never felt their absence. Out of curiosity a pretty nurse asked me" Are you alone? No one is there to look after you?".
" Yes.. But I don't feel their absence when you are taking care of me" I said with witty smile (This is what is called first ball six.. plus 20 points for me).
The nurse gave me tough looks but everthing is fair in flirting. She checked my pulse rate and temperature. I had fever with 104 degree Farenheit. I was supposed to eat lot of medicines with some boiled food. In past few months medicines have become integral part of my diet. Before leaving she asked me if I require any help I can call her. I thought she would share her number with me, but she pointed to a switch and asked me to ring it for any help.
She was back in afternoon with thermometer, instrument for measuring BP, stethescope and 3 bottles of Glucose. I wanted to know her name and start conversation, however I was drumstuck with her grim looks. She had no expressions on her face. You know a thing, men can master in everything in this world however when it comes to find what's going on in girl's mind, even 7 generations will not be enough.
I started conversation " Are you a doctor?"
"Pardon me"
"I said, are you a doctor?"
"Do I look like a doctor? ..... No I'm not"
She was not interested in any kind of conversation with me but I was more than interested.
"But you look like one... " I said. Again she gave me that tough looks. I think she did not liked it.
" Are you a malayali?"
"Why you want to know?"
"Just like that..."
"I'm paid for working here and not for talking to you". She pricked glucose bottle to my forearm and left room.
I don't know why beautiful girls have some attitude. Even she had. I did not like it and decided not to talk to her till my stay in hospital. She was back in evening with doctor and giving updates about me to him. I was least interested to even look at her. Both of them where about to leave when she came close to me and said " I'm sorry". I was not sure if I heard it correctly. I asked her "Pardon me, I didn't hear you".
"I'm sorry" and she left the room.
You know I'm from boys school and even in college I was more comfortable with guys only. I feel girls are from different world. I may need to take another birth or more to understand them. This is one department where I'm well below average. Even in my college, none of my friends in my circle had a girlfriend (Shayad mere sangat ka asar tha). I don't know if it was a advantage or disadvantage. But it was good. I'll update about my next 2 stay in hospital in my next blog.
I'm always open for suggestions and criticism. Please give your feedback so that I can improvise my writing skills. I wish all Happy Ugadi.
